Repairs, Maintenance & Honest Advice

Not every blind or awning needs to be replaced.

At NT Blinds, we have always believed that if a product can be repaired economically, then it deserves to be considered before replacement. Many faults are caused by worn components, damaged cords, failed motors, broken brackets or simple adjustments that can often be rectified without replacing the entire system.

With more than 37 years of experience servicing blinds and awnings throughout Darwin and the Northern Territory, we can quickly assess whether a repair is practical, cost-effective and worthwhile.

We regularly repair products originally supplied by NT Blinds, and in many cases we can also assist with custom-made blinds supplied by other local manufacturers. The availability of spare parts is often the deciding factor. While newer products can frequently be repaired successfully, products that are 15 to 25 years old may have obsolete components that are no longer available.

Our maintenance service covers a wide range of products including internal blinds, external awnings, shutters and motorised systems. Whether you require a minor adjustment, replacement component, motor service or general maintenance, our experienced team can provide practical advice on the most economical solution.

We maintain a minimum service fee of $125. Where possible, photographs and a brief description of the issue will help us determine whether a repair is likely to be successful before attending site.

If you're unsure whether your blind or awning should be repaired or replaced, contact NT Blinds. We are always happy to provide an honest opinion.

Long-term Care

Get More Life From Your Investment

Quality blinds, awnings and shutters are designed to provide many years of reliable service, but like any mechanical product, occasional maintenance can help keep them operating at their best.

Simple things such as keeping tracks clean, checking moving parts, removing debris and identifying wear before it becomes a major problem can often extend the life of your window furnishings and help avoid unnecessary repairs.

At NT Blinds, we believe good advice is just as important as good service. If you're concerned about how your blind or awning is operating, give us a call. In many cases, a photograph or short video can help us identify the issue and determine whether a simple adjustment or maintenance procedure may solve the problem.

Not every issue requires a service call. We're often able to guide customers through basic troubleshooting, maintenance or operational adjustments over the phone, potentially saving both time and money.

When a site visit is required, our experienced technicians can inspect, repair and maintain a wide range of internal blinds, external awnings, shutters and motorised systems. Our goal is always to help you achieve the longest practical life from your investment.

With more than 37 years of experience in Darwin and the Northern Territory, NT Blinds continues to provide practical advice, maintenance support and professional repair services for both residential and commercial customers.
